Who we are

The Palota group benefits from thirty years of experience in management, treatment and recycling of industrial and medical wastes, as well as in cleaning of contaminated land. It covers environmental service companies around in Hungary and in Romania, including waste treatment and recycling sites, hazardous waste landfills and incinerators, wastewater and sludge treatment units, waste transport fleets and laboratories. Its carries out many research and technology development activities (innovative technologies for groundwater cleaning, reuse of cracked oil and solvent residuals). The company has received the relevant certifications (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ADR, etc.).

Its innovative technology offer includes:

– the generation of energy from waste by incinerating non-hazardous organic waste, also production of refuse derived fuel (RDF)

– medical waste collection and treatment systems (‘Lajtos’ steam sterilizer, incinerator)

– on site storage and treatment of liquid hazardous waste for recovery of reusable fractions (distillation of polluted organic solvents)

– the development of mobile wastewater treatment units

– wet air oxidation technology for treatment of wastewater with high organic material content, as well as with toxic components

– operations of evaporation units for the treatment of oil-water emulsions

– the development and operation of remediation technologies using direct thermal desorption and soil washing systems.

The Palota group employs about 200 people in Hungary and 300 in Romania. Its annual turnover is about 50 million euros. It has many experiences abroad, particularly in Serbia, Bulgaria, Kuwait, Saudi-Arabia and South Sudan.

It is looking for partners for technology development and know-how transfer, development of treatment sites and technological systems.
