Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI) was established in 2009 as part of a merger between “Invest in Germany GmbH” and the “German Office for Foreign Trade” (BfAI). The Federal Republic of Germany is the sole shareholder and is represented by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.

Who we are : Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI) is the economic development agency of the Federal Republic of Germany with two locations in Germany, 60 offices abroad and its network of partners throughout the world. We see ourselves as facilitators who support German companies in their international business activities and foreign companies looking to locate to Germany.

What we do : As well as supporting export promotion, we also recruit and advise foreign investors. We also strengthen the image of Germany as a business location and promote the new federal states.
